Good morning, Monday, let’s grab coffee together! There is no better way to start a Monday than with a giant cup of coffee, am I right? I take my coffee black and I actually chug 32 ounces of water before I allow myself my first cup.
Since we can’t really grab coffee together, let’s just pretend. I have been quite MIA around here and I feel lit is time we do a little virtual coffee date. If we were to grab coffee, I’d have a lot to tell you about:
1. I am hopeful this week is going to be a good one.
Last week was rough. My husband was on his last business trip and my dog got sick. Nothing like waking up every morning between 5:30 and 6 to get some studying done and ending up cleaning up dog diarrhea. Finally, by the end of the week and when my husband was coming home, I finally got smart and put a tarp in our laundry room so I would just have to clean up the tarp. Pretty nice and convenient when we got to share the duty, huh? Thank goodness whatever it was has passed and she is feeling better (fingers crossed).
2. It is crunch time for my Personal Training Certification.
Over coffee, I would admit that the last two weeks have been terrible for studying. Let’s just say between vacation and last week’s events, my studying has been non existent. I have to focus this week- no excuses.
In that crunch time to study, I need to do just that: study. So, if I continue to be sporadic on here, that is what I am doing (hopefully). once it is all done, I have some fun things and great posts up my sleeve.
3. I have severe home-design-ADD.
You see, we have been saving up for a kitchen remodel and have reached our goal. When we renovated our home, we did minimal work to the kitchen and after two years we are ready to bite the bullet…. but now, I can’t decide what I want. I know we will be getting all new cabinets, which is the number one priority. However, we have recently started watching Fixer Upper and I am not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing for two fellow renovation lovers. I now want to change out my island and am considering an island-table combo and getting rid of our eat-in kitchen. I have also though about demoing some walls, but the hubby vetoed that (probably a good thing). I am thinking of adding a double oven and an overhead range too. Decisions, decisions. Can I just get Joanna to come to my home?
Oh and speaking of home design ADHD, it isn’t just with the kitchen. I started redecorating the office since my hubby will be working from home more, and I have great visions for new rooms for both of my munchkins. C is moving bedrooms to prepare for Baby #3 and M is in the transition to a big boy bed. Once he is 100% there he will get his “big boy” room. (Yes, that makes me tear up a little.) You can see all my ideas on Pinterest.
4. I am sure as we are having this coffee date you would probably say, “So you are totally nesting?”
Well, I guess that is what you would call it. You see, most people nest by cleaning, decluttering, and organizing, but I just like to create more projects– and then have a hard time prioritizing them all.
5. I am teaching 6 classes this week.
Our coffee date would be cut a little short because I would have to run off to the gym to teach my 6 classes this week. It is Spring Break for schools around here and I am covering a lot of classes this week. 27 weeks pregnant, and teaching 6 classes in four days– let’s do this!
Well I think after a 32 ounces of water and cup of hot, black coffee, we are caught up. I plan to be back this week with a workout and my second trimester favorites. Remember though, if I am sporadic around here, it is me sticking to that studying… or that kitchen upgrade- your guess.
I’d love to know about you too, what would you tell me over coffee?
Your turn- tell me!
How do you take your coffee? or do you not order coffee?
What is something you would share if we met up for coffee?
