It is Friday and it has been awhile since I have shared my favorites so I thought it would be the perfect post for today. It has been a great week despite the frigid temperatures. As much as I just want to curl up, drink coffee all day long and stay in my pajamas the fact that I have to teach a class most days of the week helps me get out of the house and not hibernate.
If you are new to Muscles & Munchkins on Fridays I like to share my favorites. Some weeks I focus on a specify category where other weeks I share a variety of favorites. This week I am sharing my tradition five favorites: moment with my munchkins, workout, eat, thing I read and item. Friday’s Five Favorites
Favorite Munchkin Moment
In the winter time, my most treasured moments with the kids are usually just hanging out in the playroom or reading books on the couch. This week as we finished up reading on the couch M grabbed my phone and said, “cheese”. We then had to do a series of selfies. For a good 5-10 minutes they were just saying cheese and laughing. Apparently this is amusing. At one point I pressed record and recorded their silliness. Their laughs are contagious!
I am officially teaching 4 classes a week because I picked up a 40 minute class at my church. It is so hard for me to get in workouts of my own on top of my classes right now. I shoot for 3 of my own workouts per week, but have only been getting in two. This morning’s workout was my favorite by far! I met a friend at the gym for a workout: she planned our leg portion and I did upper body. I am not sure I am going to be able to walk tomorrow!
It is a toss up and nothing fancy. You all have heard about these pancakes I have been making every day- I can’t get enough of them. I also have been making these veggie protein bowls this week for lunch twice and dinner once: eggs, veggies, pieces of bacon and siracha. Basically I just throw what ever is in the refrigerator in a bowl- so delicious.
I am in a women’s Bible study right now and we have been reading the book Restless by Jennie Allen and doing the study along with it. I have loved this study. It has really been aligned with my main goal for 2016 (which I realize I never shared). It has helped me surrender to God and really pray for him to give me direction on how He wants to use me and my talents. I feel like this is a study many women can relate to.
I posted these Under Armour pants on my Holiday Gift Guide and they have been a lifesaver this winter! I have been wearing them to and from the gym every single day. I slip them right over my workout pants and they keep me warm. I might also put them on after I shower. I love the cinch at the bottom because being 5’3 my pants always drags and these do not! If you see me today, I am wearing these. Let’s be real, I have been wearing these every Friday! I get home from the gym, do a quick “bird bath” put these back on and get on with my four hours of Friday productivity.
I love them so much that I ordered another pair but the Athleta brand. Do it today and the gray ones are an additional 20% off- it is a steal. So moving forward, if you see me on a Friday, I might be wearing the gray Athleta ones or the black under armor.
