October Highlights

Welcome, November!  I feel like we just entered October and now it is come and gone.  When I posted September’s Highlights, I talked about how I loved the month of October, but it also meant cold weather was right around the corner- well, it is here.

October was a great month spending a lot of time with family friends and adjusting to our first full month as a family of four.  I am sad that my days of running outside (without being bundled up) and taking the munchkins to the park are probably numbered.  I have enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll to the neighborhood park after naps and adoring all the colors of the trees in our beautiful neighborhood.  Claire always gets to “run” home and has recently loved running down the little hills near the sidewalks and falling in the leaves.  She would just laugh and scream all the way home.  I love how children find pure happiness in the small things in life.

Unfortunately, most of the leaves are off the trees now and it is not as beautiful.  I wish the beauty of fall lasted longer.

As we enter November, I am excited for our first Thanksgiving as a family of four, attending the Colts vs. Patriots game, and the start of INDIANA BASKETBALL.  Indiana basketball is one thing that gets us through the cold, dreary Indiana winter.  It is also going to be an exciting month for Muscles & Munchkins as we have something new on the horizon- I can’t wait to share with you all.

This month I will be joining Monica at Run, Eat, Repeat for her “Pile on the Miles 2014″.  This virtual challenge is to help anyone stay motivated in the month of November.  All you have to do is set your own goal and check-in on her blog for a chance to win awesome prizes.  My goal is to run three times per week AND to MOVE every single day.  For me this means that even on my rest days I have to bundle up and go for a walk.  Will you join us?

Your turn- tell me!
