Black Friday and Cyber Monday have passed, but there is still time to get your Christmas shopping finished or make that list for yourself to send off to your family and friends.. If you have a Fitmom or woman in your life or if YOU are the fit mom who loves all things fitness, you will want to check out these suggestions.
My 2015 Holiday Gift Guide was a popular one and I would still recommend all of those items. In fact, I have everything on last year’s list and you can find me using or wearing them each and every week. I have even asked some of my favorite fit friends on what fitness items they can’t live without and I am excited to share. Check out these fitness must-haves on this list for yourself or for you favorite female fitness fanatic on your list
2016 Holiday Gift Guide
1. Garmin
I absolutely love my Garmin and am so glad I splurged and made the purchase. I used to just use the app Map My Run which worked for awhile, but I love how easily I can see my pace and distance. I especially like it for speed work.
2. Under Armour UA Icon 32″ Pant
Working out in capris or even thin leggings in the winter is perfect for when you are inside sweating, but when you have to go out in the midwest winter conditions it can be cold. These Under Armour Icon pants are awesome for slipping over your workout pants or even shorts that you wear all winter long. They are comparable to the lululemon studio pant and much better priced. I live in these during the winter.
3. Old Navy Go-Warm Max Cocoon-Neck Fleece Pullover
Just like last year, I love a good, warm pullover and it makes it even better that the price on this is right! Whether it is going to the gym in the morning or lounging after a workout, I am a sucker for a cute, warm sweatshirt and this one does the job.
4. Brick Betty Ruffle Tank
This Brick Betty tank is my absolute favorite workout top and worth every penny. I love the ruffle detail in the back and the material is amazing. This tank is perfect for any type of working: running, classes, lifting and even going to tennis. I ran a half marathon in this tank and had zero chafing!
5. Athleta Chaturanga Capri/ Legging
I love all of my Athleta Chaturanga capris and leggings. The colors and designs are perfect; they stay up while I am running, jumping and box jumping; and they are super comfortable. Every chance I get, I like to add a new pair of these to my collection and I am sure the female fitness fanatic on your list will want to as well.
6. Momentum Bracelet
If you follow me on Instagram you have seen me post my love for Momentum Jewelry. Whether it is the foot notes or motivate wraps these are perfect for daily inspiration. I love the colors, the sayings and the versatility of these. Check them out… and buy one for yourself too.
7. Gift Card to her gym
Last year I talked about a gift card to a new and different gym or studio and this year I am saying, “Buy her a gift card to her own gym!” Yes, that is right! I am most comfortable at my gym. I know the trainers and instructors and I know that they are good. Having the opportunity to take a paid class or get trained by one of the awesome trainers would be a great gift.
8. SPRI bands
The SPRI super bands are the perfect piece of equipment for an at-home workout: they don’t take up much space and they make for a tough strength workout. I love putting one in the bottom of the jogging stroller and stopping at the playground for a strength workout using the Spri bands and monkey bars. These are also great for the traveler.
What are my fit friends & family members recommending?
1. Tracy is known for wearing the Hippie Runner headband. They make for a fashion statement, plus they are functional because they keep sweat out of my eyes. These have become her signature look at the gym.
2. Heather loves the Lululemon Power Y tank. A great and stylish tank for many different types of workouts.
3. Tara loves the Nike studio wraps and wears them in all her barefoot classes: Barre, PiYo and yoga. They give me good grip and hug my feet just a bit; enough to feel like I have some support.
4. Teri loves the TRX and I would take this certified personal trainers advice. It is a great piece of equipment for your home gym. Make sure you know how to use it properly before first. A great idea would be to use that gift card above to take a TRX class and learn the basics first.
