There are just 13 days until Christmas and 12 days until Christmas Eve. For many of us, this is a super busy time of year and our fitness take the back burner, but not this year! The 12 days of Fitmas gets you moving each day, increases your heart rate, makes you sparkle with sweat (the perfect holiday accessory), and works you up to a short, Christmas day workout. Will you join me?
Whether you are a fitness novice or new to fitness this is perfect for you. If you are new to fitness, or you have a 2016 goal of “getting back to it”, this is the perfect place to start: the first day is just one minute! If you are a fitness novice and want to take this workout up a notch, there is that option too.
The best part about the “12 Days of Fitmas”… there will be prizes! Yes, I will be giving away some of my favorite things to those of you who participate in this fun, 12 day fitness challenge. 12 Days of Fitmas Fitness Challenge
Each day there will be an exercise to complete. Once you complete it, you post your selfie in the comments on the daily Facebook thread, or you post it on Instagram and tag me and use #FitmaswithHollie. The more days you do the challenge, the better chance you have of winning some of my favorite things: my favorite nutrition, my favorite thing after a hard workout, head bands, a workout top, and of course momentum jewelry.
The fun part is, just like the song, the challenge adds on each day. When you get to day 2 you just don’t do day 2’s exercise, you also do day 1’s. Then on day 3 you start with Day 3 and then do day 2 and also day 1. It is like a pyramid- you add on each day.
Day 1: 1 minute of Skaters
Day 2: 20 squats
Day 3: 15 push-ups
Day 4: 10 spiderman planks
On day for you will complete: 10 spiderman planks, 15 push-ups, 20 squats and then 1 minute of skaters. By day 12 you will do everything!
For All Levels
This fitness challenge is for all levels! If you are a beginner, this is the perfect place to start and you will get a jump start on that New Year’s goal to become a fitter YOU! Follow along and modify the exercises as you need. The most important thing is to “JUST MOVE”!
If you have been working out for awhile, you can do this in addition to your normal workout routine OR you can do the whole pyramid each day until Christmas or you could add weight or a medicine ball to you exercises for added intensity.
