My 2nd Stitch Fix

May 21, 2015 By Hollie Leave a Comment

It’s been two weeks since I have gotten my second Stitch Fix and I am finally hear to review it for you.  My first one was a big hit and when I posted the picture on my Facebook and Instagram of my second box people couldn’t wait to see what I had received.  Rachel’s Stitch Fix review was also a big hit on the blog and everyone enjoyed seeing what she received in her fix.  I have left you hanging for long enough and am ready to let you in on the details.

Once again, I loved receiving my fix.  It was something I was looking forward to and I couldn’t wait to get it.  I had high hopes for this fix because I felt that I gave a good amount of feedback on the checkout of the first fix.  I also updated my style profile and requested that I did not want any pants this time and directed my stylist  to my Pinterest Style board.

What I really enjoyed this time was that I tried everything on and liked everything.  I then thought about it for awhile, and tried everything on again for my husband to get his feedback too.  I really actually liked everything they sent me this time, but I didn’t need everything.  I don’t need anything, really.

Although I liked everything, I tried to be realistic and budget conscious when choosing what I would keep.  Please don’t mind my “just got out of the shower-half way dried hair-no makeup-look”.

1. Elaine Ikat Print Pocket- Front Knit Shirt by Market & Spruce- $44- Returned

This shirt was cute but I didn’t not love it.  I liked that it was casual and I could wear it with a pair of jeans or shorts in the summer, but I definitely did not love it.

2. Colibri Paisley Print Sleeveless Top by Market & Spruce- $44- KEPT!

I love this shirt! I clearly love shirts that have this cute because it is a similar cut to the shirt I kept in my first stitch fix.  I paired this with a pair of black skinny cropped pants and black wedges for a night out in Napa and it was super cute.

3. McQue Solid Lace Sleeve Blouse by 41Hawthorne- $48- Returned

This shirt was super cute and screamed “Kate Middleton” and I absolutely adore her style.  Navy blue is also my favorite color to wear so I loved this shirt.  I have a lot of dressy navy shirts and I did not think this one would get much wear out of it so I returned it.

4. Watford Knit Top by Papermoon- $44- KEPT!… and then returned (keep reading)

I loved this shirt!  When I opened the box this was the first shirt I was drawn to.  It would be perfect for summer and I also wore it the day we traveled to Napa.  I thought it was perfect and comfortable for the airplane and also cute enough to wear to a couple of wineries when we arrived in Napa.  Pair it with some fun gold jewelry to dress it up.

I kept this shirt at first and paid for it.  After I wore it the first time I noticed that the seam was uneven and it really bothered me.  I emailed Stitch Fix and asked them if I could return it and get a new one because I really loved the shirt.  Unfortunately they had no more in stock and refunded my money.  Great customer service.

5. Raphael Denim Jacket by Liverpool- $88- Returned

I do need a new jean jacket and my stylist was spot on because I have a lot of jean and chambray on my Pinterest page.  Although this was cute and I needed a new one, I couldn’t spend $88 on it.  I have an Old Navy jean jacket that I have had since I was student teaching (8 years ago) that is still super cute and starting to fray at the elbows.  After 8 years it is just now starting to wear down and it was half the price of this one and just as cute.  I decided to return it and get a new one from Old Navy or Gap.

My recent Stitch Fix was once again a success.  Since I bought one item, my $20 styling fee went towards that item.  I love this service and can’t wait to do it again in June- I think this will be a monthly thing for me.  I like that whenever I go to my closet for a night out, I have a couple of cute, stylish items that I feel confident wearing.  I also don’t have to spend the time trying things on and mixing and matching.  I know exactly what to wear and what to wear it with.
