I am a big fan of quick workouts! I love a good workout that will get my heart rate up, let my muscles burn and leave me feeling good in 20 minutes. Quick workouts like these are crucial for busy moms like me- and you too. Whether it is before the kids wake up, during nap time or even on vacation, having a go-to for quick workouts is important.
I especially like quick, bodyweight workouts when I am traveling. I like to be able to do a quick 20 minutes in my hotel room before beginning my day of vacation fun. Workouts that include minimal equipment like a kettle bell or dumbbells are crucial for me when I have a newborn need to knock out a quick workout while the baby sleeps. (I will be there again soon.)
If you want to take your workouts up a notch and get in 30-45 minute workouts, I am hosting my FIRST ONLINE BOOTCAMP that starts on May 30th. I have just a few spots left and would love to have you join me for tough workouts, clean eating and daily motivation and accountability. Interested? Check it out here.
Otherwise, get moving… for just 20 minutes!
Five Favorite Quick, 20 Minute Workouts
I have compiled a list of five go-to workouts that are 20 minutes or less. Some of these are mine and some of them are from my favorite trainers and fitness bloggers like Jess also known as Blonde Pony Tail, Jen from Burpees for Breakfast, Jill Conyers and Hillary from Nutrition Nut on the Run.
No Equipment Sweatfest by Yours Truly
I did this workout in my hotel room the other day and my husband came in as I was sweating and panting my way through jumping jacks (darn elevation). I loved the way this workout worked my upper body, then increased my heart rate and then worked my legs too. I think you will like it too.
Home Kettlebell Workout by Jess
I have always loved Blonde Pony Tail’s blog and Instagram and recently she has risen to the charts as one of my favorite bloggers- if not my absolute favorite! She is super knowledgable, is amazingly strong and her workouts rock. She is my go-to for workout inspiration, especially when I want to lift heavy, use the kettlbell and do crossfit workouts in my garage. Jess does not disappoint with this kettle bell workout.
Fully Body Bootcamp Burner by Jen
I love Jen- the end. Jen was my blogfest roommate AND she lives 10 minutes from me, but we met in the blogosphere. Jen is super knowledgeable, lifts heavy and has the guns to show for it. I love how when she posts a workout, not only is it tough, but she breaks down the moves for you and makes sure you are being safe. I love this bootcamp-like workout she created. And if you don’t have a kettlbell for the deadlifts, load up your dumbbells and make no excuses.
No Equipment Plyo Workout by Hillary
I recently discovered Hillary’s blog and love it! This No Equipment Plyo workout is perfect for anywhere. I tested this one out in the hotel room before a day of skiing and it was perfect.
15-Minute Total Body Circuit Workout by Jill
Some days you just need some quick strength training to wake up those muscles and feel the burn and this workout from Jill will be sure to do that. I love the combination of compound exercises in this workout that will be sure to get your heart rate up.
Next time you need a quick workout whether it be at home or at the gym, check out one of these. I promise, you won’t be disappointed and it will leave you sweating and your muscles burning. Save it, pin it, share it!
